C T Online Desk: Jan 8, 2022 – Seventy six more people tested positive for Covid-19 in the district in the last 24-hours till this morning after testing
1530 samples in ten Covid-19 laboratories in the district.
The infection rate is found 4.96 percent during the time, health officials
said.
The new cases raised the number of infections to 102,980.
Meanwhile, the total number of recovered patients from the deadly virus
rose to 94,214 with the healing of 37 more people in the past 24 hours, Dr
Ilias Chowdhury, civil surgeon of the district, said.
The percentage of recovery rate is 92.32.
With no new fatality recorded during the period, the death toll stands
steady at 1,332.
A total of 205 infected patients are now undergoing treatment at different
designated hospitals here, the sources added.
