28 homeless families get shelter in Satkania

C T Online Desk: In Satkania, 28 landless and homeless families have found a place to live as Eid gifts of the Prime Minister. On Tuesday, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the virtual house handover program from Ganobhaban.

After that, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Fatema-Tuj-Johra officially handed over the government-funded houses and land deeds to these families. At the time, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Fatema-Tuj-Johra said that in the third phase, out of 48 houses, 28 houses and documents are being explained to the beneficiaries. Beneficiaries will be informed after the completion of the remaining 20 houses. At a function hosted by Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sajib Kanti Rudra, Satkania Upazila Parishad Chairman MA Motaleb CIP said that the gift given by Bangabandhu’s daughter and People’s Leader Sheikh Hasina to the homeless people of the country for their land and house is commendable. Many of them were neglected for a long time. The Prime Minister is always vigilant so that no one in the country suffers in the future.

Satkania Upazila Parishad Panel Chairman Anjuman Ara Begum, Vice Chairman Salahuddin Hasan Chowdhury, Satkania Municipality Mayor Md. Jobayer, Officer-in-Charge (OC) Tareq Mohammad Abdul Hannan, Upazila Project Implementation Officer. Kamrul Hossain and others were present on the occasion.
