C T Online Desk: A 12,000-meters comprising 21 net was seized and a fishing boat was destroyed in a raid on the Halda River yesterday .
Hathazari Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shahidul Alam conducted raids at different points of Halda river on Saturday morning.
It is learned that 21 fence nets were seized from different points of Hathazari-Raozan and Fatikchhari upazilas on both sides of Halda river during the operation. The amount of seized nets is about 12 thousand meters. Upazila Executive Officer. Shahidul Alam said the upazila administration will continue its strict campaign to maintain a safe environment for mother fish in the upcoming breeding season in Halda.
