C T Online Desk: Sarwar Jahan Jewel Mymensingh :  A discussion meeting was held in Trishal, Mymensingh, to increase social awareness against drugs and strengthen the role of those concerned in drug prevention.

The meeting was held at the Upazila Parishad Hallroom on Monday afternoon, organized by the Upazila administration. Mymensingh Deputy Commissioner Md. Saifur Rahman was present as the chief guest. Trishal Upazila Executive Officer Hasnat Jahan Khan presided over the meeting.

The meeting discussed the need to increase social awareness in drug prevention and the actions of the concerned individuals. During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the collective role of people from different classes and professions of the society, including the administration, in creating public awareness about the harmful effects of drugs.

Among others present at the event were Trishal Upazila BNP Convener Enamul Haque Bhuiyan, Joint Convener Anisuzzaman Mridha, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mohammad Mojahidul Islam, Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Nazneen Sultana, Upazila Agriculture Officer Dr. Mehedi Hasan, Upazila Social Service Officer Mahmudul Hasan, Trishal Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mansur Ahmed, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Mofidul Islam and Upazila Academic Supervisor Shahana Akhter, along with individuals from various levels.

The meeting highlighted the need for raising awareness and active participation of all concerned in anti-drug activities to create a drug-free society.
