C T Online Desk: Gauchia Sweets and Bakery in Halishahar has been fined Tk 1 lakh for making food products in unhealthy and dirty environment, keeping open and expired food products and not having health certificate of the workers. The restaurant of the city named Ayozan Restora was fined Tk 1 lakh for making and selling food items in unhygienic, dirty and smelly environment and storing stale food. The fine was imposed on Tuesday (April 5) in an operation led by Chittagong City Corporation led by Executive Magistrate Marufa Begum Nelly. CCC public relations officer Kalam Chowdhury confirmed the matter to media Officers and employees of the concerned department of CCC , members of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) assisted during the operation. Such campaigns will continue in the public interest during Holy Ramadhan month.
