According to the Chittagong District Civil Surgeon’s Office, 20,857 patients were identified in 2021. Earlier, in 2020, 14,116 TB patients were identified in Chittagong. In other words, the number of tuberculosis patients has increased to 6,741 in the last one year. Of these, 228 people have died of the disease. In the last one year, only 16 percent of the infected patients have recovered. Tuberculosis experts say that many people stay at home with fever, cold and cough. No one came to the hospital thinking it might be Corona. Negligence in this way can lead to bad things.

Chittagong General Hospital Super Sheikh Fazle Rabbi said that tuberculosis is also a contagious disease. Like the coronavirus, it infects the lungs. If you have been coughing for three weeks or more, you should seek medical help. Medication should be taken regularly as per the advice of the doctor.
