C T Online Desk: CCC Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury said, we are celebrating the golden jubilee of independent Bangladesh but even during this period it was not possible to write a complete history of the liberation war of Bangladesh. Negligence is seen in preserving the background and historical installations of various movements in building the independence of the country.
The issue will highlight our failure to the next generation as holders of incomplete additions to many chapters of history.Therefore, it is our moral duty to encourage the new generation to acquire accurate knowledge about the history of the rise of independent Bangladesh. Therefore, the history of the rise of Bangladesh must be included in every level of the country’s education curriculum.Mayor was speaking as the chief guest at a discussion meeting on the occasion of the golden jubilee of independence at the Ekushey Book Fair stage organized by CCC at the gymnasium premises of MA Aziz Stadium in the city on Saturday.
Chittagong City Corporation Chief Executive Officer Mohammad Shahidul Alam presided over the discussion. Mahfuzur Rahman and Panel Mayor Afroza Kalam spoken among others. Welcoming speech was given by the convener of the fair council, ward councilor Nisar Uddin Ahmed Monju, a ccc release said.
