C T Online Desk: Gold price has again crossed Tk one lakh marks as jewellers have increased the price by Tk1,166 per bhori.
The updated price of per bhori gold is fixed at Tk1,00,543 from today, according to a press release of Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS).
The BAJUS standing committee on pricing and price monitoring made the decision at a meeting on Sunday.
The price of 22-carat gold is now Tk8,620 per gram while it is Tk8,230 for 21-carat, said a press release signed by the committee chairman MA Hannan Azad.
The price of 18-carat gold has been fixed at Tk7,050 per gram while that of traditional gold at Tk5,880 per gram. The new tariffs will come into effect on Monday, the press release said.
