C T Online Desk: Onion price across the country is upward following India’s imposition of 40 percent duty on export.
Soon after export duty announcement, the onion market has become unstable. Indian onion price in the market has increased by Tk 20 within three days.
On Tuesday, onion price jumped to Tk 75 to Tk 80 compared to Tk 55 to Tk 60 a few days back.
Kitchen markets in Rampura, Malibagh and Sengunbagicha in the capital saw hike in onion price.
Meanwhile, local onion (standard quality) is being sold at Tk 90 in a hike triggered by Indian decision.
