C T Online Desk: The ruling Awami League (AL) has nominated former president of Chattogram Mahanagar Chhtra League and Juba League Mohiuddin Bachchu for by-polls to Chattogram-10 constituency.
Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader revealed this information after a meeting of Awami League Parliamentary Nomination Board at Ganabhaban, the official residence of Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina, at 7:30pm on Monday.
From June 24 to 26, the Awami League distributed nomination forms for the by-polls to the constituency. A total of 23 candidates collected nomination forms.
The by-elections to Chattogram-10 will be held on July 30. The last date for submission of nomination is July 4, scrutiny of nominations July 6, appeals against cancellation of candidacy July 7 to 9, disposal of appeal July 10 to 11, last date for withdrawal of candidature July 12 and allocation of symbol July 13.
