C T Online Desk: Police last night recovered the bodies of two teenagers who went missing while visiting a waterfall in the hills of Mirsarai in Chattogram.
The deceased were identified as Md Arif, 18, and Md Afsar, 15. They were both residents of Akbarshah area of the port city, reports our local correspondent quoting Station Officer Md Imam Hossain Patwari of Mirsarai Fire Service and Civil Defence.
“Two teenagers along with a few others went to visit the Rupshi waterfall located at Wahedpur union under Mirsarai upazila last morning,” he said.
When the two went missing in the afternoon, others sought help by calling emergency service 999, Patwari said.
Later the fire service, with the help of police, started a search operation and recovered their bodies from around 15 feet deep beneath the waterfall at 9:00pm.
The dead bodies were handed over to police, he added.
