C T Online Desk: Instead of organizing Iftar party, Chittagong district administration has distributed Eid gifts including Iftari items and money among 700 families including poor, hapless, poors and physically disabled in the city .
Chittagong District Commissioner Abul Basar Mohammad Fakhruzzaman distributed Eid gifts at the gymnasium ground adjacent to MA Aziz Stadium around 3 pm on Thursday (March 30).
Each packet of gift items included- 7 kg rice, 1 kg lentils, 2 kg sugar, 1 kg salt, 2 liters soybean oil, 2 packets of semai and chickpeas.
Under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Rakib Hasan, Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industries President Md. Mahbubul Alam, Mahanagar Freedom Fighter Commander Vir Muktijodha Mozaffar Ahmad, Director of The Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industries Ahid Siraj Chowdhury Swapan, District Relief and Rehabilitation Officer Sajib Chakraborty and others were present.
