C T Online Desk: Rashed Mahmud and Rajesh Chakraborty have been elected President and General Secretary respectively of Chittagong Photojournalist Association CPJA for 2022-2024.
As there were no candidates in all the nine posts, all of them were elected unopposed.
Asif Siraj, chairman of the Election Committee, declared them winners at the Chittagong Journalists Union CUJ office on Monday.
Among others who have been elected are: Subhashkaran Saha-vice President, Nipul Kumar Dey Joint Editor, Alauddin Hossain Dulal Finance Secretary, Ravi Shankar Chakraborty Organing Secretary, Sohail Sarwar, Roni Dey Publicity and Publication seretary, Anupam Barua Executive Member.
President of Chittagong Journalists Union CUJ Mohammad Ali, General Secretary Md. Shamsul Islam, General Secretary of Chittagong Press Club Chowdhury Farid, Former President of CUJ Mostaq Ahmed, Former Vice President of BFUJ Reaz Haider Chowdhury, Former Joint General Secretary of BFUJ Tapan Chakraborty, CUJ Senior VP Ratan Kanti Debashish, Ayub Ali, Entertainment Secretary of Chittagong Press Club, Azahar Mahmud, Executive Member of BFUJ, Devprasad Das Debu, Chief Adviser Member of CPJA, Roopam Chakraborty, Member of Election Steering Committee, Mohammad Farooq, former general secretary Habibur Rob Masum, members Qutbuddin Chowdhury, Jewel Sheel, Sharif Chowdhury, Rajib Raihan and Suranjit Sheel were present on the occasion.At the end of the ceremony, the winners were congratulated with wreaths.
