C T Online Desk: Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) has taken initiative to set up ‘Road Stud’ or ‘Cats Eye’ for the first time to increase the safety of roads in the city at night. As part of this, the company has started the work of experimentally installing road studs on Port Connecting Road. If successful, CCC plans to set up road studs on other roads in the city in phases.
According to the concerned, the road stud is a kind of light. Which are placed along the lane of the marked vehicle in the middle of the road. These can withstand the pressure of heavy vehicles. The road stud, which is very important for increasing road safety, will provide safety guidelines for safe driving on the road at night.
It is learned that with the help of road studs, the lanes in the middle of the road will be illuminated by the headlights of the vehicles. This will make it easier for the driver to understand the lane of the road at night. As a result, he will be able to drive without any problems. This will also prevent accidents.
