C T Online Desk: In a raid on a factory called BSP Foods Products in the port city, RAB seized 3,360 kg of adulterated ghee as well as a large quantity of low quality toxic flavors, palm oil and dalda. Meanwhile, General Manager of the factory Aminul Islam Nizam was arrested.
RAB-7 conducted the operation at the factory in Kalurghat BSCIC industrial city under Chandgaon police station.
RAB-7’s senior assistant director Nurul Abshar said, “We have received information that BSP Foods Products is making ghee without any ingredient in the milk in an unhealthy environment by mixing adulterated and low quality toxic flavors, palm oil and dalder for sale in the factory.” Later raids were carried out there. A large quantity of adulterated ghee was seized during the operation.
He also said that the arrested manager Aminul Islam Nizam has been handed over to Chandgaon police station to take legal action against him. According to RAB sources, the company has been fined several times before for producing adulterated and substandard products in an unhealthy environment.
