C T Online Desk: Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) Commissioner Saleh Mohammad Tanvir has commented that there is no threat in Chittagong city in the center of Eidul Azhar Jamaat.
He made the remarks at a press conference on the occasion of the holy Eid -ul -Azha at the CMP’s media center yesterday(thursday).
CMP Commissioner said special security measures have been taken in the city during the sale of the cattle market and leather on the occasion of Eidul Azha. Everyone will enjoy the joy of Eid. I am discouraged to go somewhere by emptying the house or emptying the entire building. Criminals will be scared if there is a CC camera at home. He suggested installing a CC camera in the front street of the house, adding that it made it easier for the police to identify the criminals. Yet we are sincere in law and order. Police will have night petrol and additional patrol system. Eid sights will be open on Eid. Everyone has the right to participate in the festival. However, it should never exceed the limit. If anyone complains to the police about playing the song in the night, necessary legal action will be taken.
He said the CMP is providing regular security for the sacrifice animal huts. Regular mobile patrols, traffic systems, fake notes identification booths, police patrols in white robes are providing security for transporting money. Besides, DB’s mobile team, Bomb Disposal Team, Sweeping Team, Striking Reserve, Quick Response Team. Police are providing security in the bus stand, railway station, steamerghat and market area. For important places and residential areas, there will be regular security systems as well as special mobile patrols.
The security system of Eid Jamaat will be Jamiatul Falah Jame Mosque, Anderkilla Shahi Jame Mosque and Big Eid Jamaat. Besides, the security of Eid Jamaat will be provided by the police station in other mosques. Eid Jamaat -centric picket duty, regular mobile patrols of the police station, police system and DB team will be deployed.
Additional Police Commissioner (Crime and Operation) Md. Shamsul Alam, Additional Police Commissioner (Traffic) Shyam Kumar Nath and Additional Police Commissioner (Administration and Finance) Sana Shaminur Rahman were present.
