C T Online Desk: July 7, 2022- A total of 53 people were tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours in eight laboratories in the city and district.
The infection rate is 16.82 percent.
Among the infected persons, 47 are in Chattogram city and rest six in different upazilas of the district.
The total number of Covid-19 patients climbed to 1,27,607 in Chattogram district after detecting 53 new patients, Dr Ilias Chowdhury, Civil Surgeon of Chattogram told BSS.
The number of recovered Covid-19 patients reached to 1,25,535 with the recovery of 54 more people till this morning rose the average recovery rate to 98.83 percent in the district.
With no new death recorded during the period, the death toll steady at 1,365.
A total of 114 infected patients are now undergoing treatment at different designated hospitals here.
