Two more Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims die in Saudi Arabia

C T Online Desk: Two more Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrims died in Medina of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.

Md Abdul Jalil Khan, 62, of Rangpur’s Pirgacha upazila, died on Tuesday night and Beauty Begum, 47, of Kotwali in Dhaka, breathed her last at King Fahad Hospital in Medina on Tuesday morning, local time.

Abdul Jalil’s passport number is BX0552614 while Beauty’s passport number is EA0009584. Both of them went to Saudi Arabia under the private management.

Ministry of Religious Affairs disclosed the information.

A total of six Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims died in Saudi Arabia so far during this hajj season.

According to the bulletin, 28,309 pilgrims went to Saudi Arabia on 78 flights till Tuesday.

A total of 57,585 Bangladeshis will be able to perform the holy Hajj this year. Of them, 4,000 will perform Hajj under government management and 53, 585 people will perform Hajj under private hajj management.

Hajj flight started from Bangladesh on 5 June. The last Hajj flight from Dhaka will leave on July 4.
