C T Online Desk: Doa Mahfil followed by discussion meeting in remember of the noted journalist and founding Editor of Dainik Dhaka and also senior member of Jatiya Press club Editor Shafiqul Islam Younus held at Tanzemul Moslemeen Ethimkhana auditorium in port city on June 13 last with Journalist SM Jamaluddin in the chair. Jamaluddin is the President of Bangladesh Journalist Human Rights Sangstha. Noted Freedom Fighter Moinuddin Quadery Showkat , also former executive member of Bangladesh Press Council & World Association of Press council graced the occasion as chief guest. Secretary general of Divisional Samaj Kaylan Federation Hafez Md.Amanullah, general secretary of Govt Employees Coordination Council Md. Shamsul Islam, Acting president of Jatiya Sramik League Habibur Rahman Habib, noted social personality & the life member of the international Islamic University Md.Rafique Khan were present as special guests. Doa and Munajat conducted by Moulana Prof. FazlulQuader. Among others Journo Nazimuddin, Prof.Liaquat Ali, Md. Yousuf, Moulana Abdus Sukkur spoke on the occasion. The chief guest in his brief deliverations told Late Journalist Shafiqul Islam was a die hearted and greedless newsman and he never desired high ambitious life rather a common people. Man like Shafiqul Islam is rare in the society and among the journalists. He used to love the people of principle and right path and I can not forget his affectionate behaviour . He was dedicated always for the welfare of the journalists. Later the participants offered munajat and prayed for salvation of the departed soul.
