C T Online Desk: A mobile court of Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) has raided Alkaran and West Madarbari areas of the city and collected arrears of holding tax of Tk 9 lakh 93 thousand from three houses.
CCC’s executive magistrate Marufa Begum Nellie on Tuesday collected the arrears through pay-orders and cheques. In the same operation, arrears of trade license fee of Tk 40,960, income tax of Tk 45,000 and VAT of Tk 2,650 were collected from 14 companies in Reazuddin Bazar area of the city. During this time, two persons were fined Tk 15,000 for running a business without a trade license.
